Ceremonial White Dove Releases

The safety and well-being of our doves are a top priority, please read our terms and conditions so we can ensure that your special event is a memorable experience.

Release Policy:

  • We will NEVER release our doves indoors or in dangerous locations.
  • To ensure our doves have enough sunlight to navigate home we will not release 1 hour prior to sunset.
  • To maintain the safety of our doves, we will not release in heavy fog, heavy rain, thunderstorms, winds in excess of 25mph, snow, or during any tornado watch.
  • We will NEVER ship our doves for a self-release.
  • While highly unlikely due to the birds strict diet prior to arriving at your event, Carolina Doves cannot be held liable for any adverse effects that may result while dealing with live animals.
  • Our handlers will arrive at your event 30 minutes prior to the engagement and will be dressed appropriately.
  • Our doves are highly trained, excellent navigators that can maneuver around without risk to any bystanders.  Due to several circumstances we cannot predict how many times the doves will circle prior to beginning their navigation home again.

Overage Policy:

Carolina Doves is not responsible to the client for any failure to perform IF such failure is due to a delay in the event not caused by Carolina Doves which causes a conflict in any of the release policies listed above.  No refunds will be given.

Deposits & Payments:

  • Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit or payment has been received.
  • A 50% deposit can be made to hold your reservation as long as the event date is more than 30 days away.
  • Full or final payment is due 30 days prior to the event.  Failure to remit final payment by the deadline may result in the cancellation of the reservation and a forfeiture of the deposit.

Cancellation Policy:

  • We will completely REFUND any deposit or payment for a failure to release that results from any acts of God.  In the event that weather conditions prohibit a release, clients may choose to instead have a dove display and will be refunded any differences in money.
  • A full refund on deposits and payments will be issued to any customer who cancel more than 45 days prior to the event date.
  • A 50% refund on deposits and payments will be issued to all customers who cancel 30 to 45 days prior to the event date.
  • No refund will be issued to a customer who cancels less than 30 days prior to the event date.
A 5% fee will be assessed to cancellations which were secured by a credit card or PayPal unless cancellation falls within PayPal's limit for issuing refunds.

Excess Travel Fee's:

  • Travel expenses to all venue locations within 30 miles of Rock Hill, SC will be complimentary
  • A $25 surcharge will be added to releases which take place more than 30 miles but less than 40 miles from Rock Hill, SC
  • A $35 surcharge will be added to releases which take place more than 40 miles but less than 50 miles from Rock Hill, SC
  • We DO NOT release our doves any further than 50 miles from Rock Hill, SC
Birds for Sale

  • The birds for sale are NOT to be used for self releases and should only be purchased by white dove release company's.
  • Carolina Doves is unable to reserve or place a temporary hold on any birds for sale.  Orders are filled on a first come first served basis.  In the event that we are currently out of stock we will accept payment and immediately begin processing your order.  You will be advised of the tentative shipping date prior to purchasing. 
  • Orders are not confirmed or processed until full payment has been made.
  • Due to the high costs and variety of sizes of shipping boxes, Carolina Doves does not normally keep shipping boxes in stock.  Therefore, shipping boxes will be purchased after your order is received so that we can purchase the appropriately sized box for the number of birds sold.  Shipping boxes take an average of 3 to 5 days to be received by Carolina Doves.
  • Once orders are processed and shipping materials are purchased, Carolina Doves is unable to refund or cancel any orders.
  • The buyer is responsible for ensuring that a representative is present to sign for the delivery of the birds.  If the purchaser fails to sign for the birds or is unable to accept the shipment, Carolina Doves will not provide refunds for any birds that are returned to us again.
  • We will only ship live birds on Monday's - Wednesday's to reduce the risk of a weekend mail layover.
  • All birds will be shipped using USPS approved cartons and will be shipped priority mail in accordance with the USPS live animal guidelines.
  • We cannot ship any of our birds out of the United States.
  • Shipping insurance is optional but highly recommended.  Due to numerous conditions and upkeep out of our control, we cannot warranty any birds once they are received by the customer.  
  • Carolina Doves encourages any potential buyer to have a general knowledge on the care, maintenance, and upkeep required for a live animal.
Equipment Sales

Release Boxes:

  • Every remote controlled release box is handmade for each customer.  To prevent the risk of damage caused by storage, and to keep overhead inventory costs at a minimum, we do not stock any of our boxes.  Therefore, we do request up to 7 days to complete the construction of your box.
  • Since each box is made for specifically each order, we are unable to accept returns for any remote controlled release box once payment has been received.
  • We take careful steps to pack each remote controlled release box for shipment.  If by chance your release box is damaged during shipping, please notify us immediately and we will generate a claim with the delivery service.  We provide FREE shipping insurance up to that amount that was paid for each box.

Free Shipping:


  • Free shipping applies to items shipped within the continental United States only.  Please contact us prior to making a purchase for a shipping cost for outside of the continental US.
